Jr Vice Commander-in-Chief - Army

Glenn R. Umberger Jr. was elected Junior Vice Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. on Aug. 13, 2025, at the 126th VFW National Convention in Columbus, Ohio.  

He served in the United States Army from 1985 to 2018, earning his VFW eligibility serving in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In recognition of his service, he received two Meritorious Service Medals, 10 Army Commendation Medals, three Army Achievement Medals, two National Defense Service Medals, and many more.

Glenn joined the VFW in 1993 at Post 23 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, later transferring to Post 7155 in Trappe, Pennsylvania, where he maintains his Gold Legacy Life membership.
