Robert "Bobby” Lovergne Jr. was elected Junior Vice Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. on July 29, 2026, at the 127th VFW National Convention in Reno, Nevada.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1983 to 2002, earning his VFW eligibility by serving in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In recognition of his service, he was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal with two devices, Air Force Achievement Medal with three devices, and many more.
Bobby joined the VFW in 1991 at Post 1736 in Alexandria, Louisiana, later transferring to Post 3750 in Luling, Louisiana, where he maintains his Gold Legacy Life membership
